Control Valves Are Control Components in Fluid Transport Systems
A control valve is a control component in a fluid transportation system, which has functions such as guiding, intercepting, regulating, throttling, preventing backflow, diverting, or overflowing to relieve pressure. It can be used to control various types of fluid activities such as air, water, steam, various corrosive chemical media, mud, liquid metals, and radioactive substances.
The control valve consists of two main components: the valve body assembly and the actuator assembly (or actuator system). Common types of control valves include single seat series control valves, double seat series control valves, sleeve series control valves, and self operated series control valves. These types of control valves each have their own special applications, characteristics, advantages, and disadvantages.
The working principle of a control valve involves the synergistic effect of components such as the valve body, valve core, piston, and valve seat. The valve body is the main load-bearing part of the control valve, usually made of steel material, with good strength and sealing performance. The valve core is located inside the valve body and is connected to the actuator through the valve stem, responsible for controlling the flow of fluid and regulating it. The piston is an important component of the valve core, which can move with changes in fluid pressure, thereby achieving control of fluid flow rate. The valve seat is located inside the valve body and is responsible for contacting the valve core, playing a role in sealing the fluid.
Control valves play a crucial role in industrial automation, especially in industries such as petrochemicals, steel metallurgy, biopharmaceuticals, new energy, new materials, food, textiles, and environmental protection, which have broad market demand. The control valve controls flow, liquid level, pressure, flow direction, etc., and each temperature range should be managed by a different control valve. The customized production characteristics of control valves are determined by different specifications and media (including water, liquid, steam, etc.).
Overall, control valves are important equipment in the fields of industrial automation and fluid control, playing a crucial role in achieving efficient, safe, and reliable fluid control.
